Description

The 1908 Perth Mint Gold Sovereign features King Edward VII's bare-head portrait facing right by George William de Saulles and Benedetto Pistrucci's St George and the dragon reverse. It is identified by P mintmark below the horse. Struck as a full Sovereign in 22-carat gold, the coin weighs approximately 7.98 grams, contains about 7.32 grams of fine gold and has a nominal diameter of 22.05 mm.
