Description

The 2006 1oz Gold American Buffalo bullion coin is the first-year issue of the United States Mint's 24-carat Buffalo bullion programme. Struck in .9999 fine gold and containing one troy ounce of gold, it introduced a pure-gold US bullion alternative to the 22-carat American Gold Eagle while using James Earle Fraser's historic Native American and bison artwork from the Buffalo Nickel.
